I painted this for Ayrton Senna's birthday this year. This was a very important piece for me, as Ayrton is one of my biggest heroes, as he is to millions of people, and I wanted to spend time on something as a tribute.

In the end I was very happy with this and got a lot of positive feedback, it's one of the most satisfying things I've ever done! It's a beautiful reference to work from and everything behaved, which was strange because when I work to deadlines I usually mess a lot up. But this went well.
I've got another portrait that I did for the anniversary of his death, which is also in my gallery.
